inside the mind of a south florida retiree

Library story.  If you are bored of these, move on.

We're hosting many bestselling authors at our branch libraries as part of a series spanning a few months.  We've had some pretty huge names and since I'm involved with coordinating these events, I get to see the visiting authors do their talks.  It is one part of my job I love.  In most cases, the audiences are full of snowbirds that live in retirement communities (that is, until they croak in their marble tubs..."I'm going to miss the bridge tournament tomorr...").  These snowbirds, they have strong ties to the past.  And I have proof.  The number one question they ask the authors is...

"Do you write your novels in long hand or do you use the computer?"

Every.  Single.  Time.
