There are some cold, hard facts about me that I don't much like. I'm going to release them slowly here like arsenic, one day at a time.
Today:
#2 When friends from my past (e.g. high school) want to get together, I immediately recoil in disgust and brainstorm ways to get out of getting together. What the hell does that mean? I think it means I'm done with high school friends, but that makes me the worst kind of person, right? I'm delighted to know how my old friends are doing, but I live so far away from them that getting together is rare. So when we can get together, it's usually when I'm in Portland and all I really want to do when I'm there is blob around without a social itinerary. Can't I just know them on Facebook? Isn't that enough! Now a high school/university friend is coming to Florida for a vacation in the Keys, and she wants to get together. I don't understand it. Just get your Portland ass some sunshine and hang out with your family! Madge vs. the Keys: you can pick your own winner and you don't have to say so in the comments, thank you.

Oh this, this is me. This is absolutely me. I don't know if it makes us bad people or if it just makes us introverted, which as I take it is the new acceptable terminology for what we used to call "anti-social."
