helping out in the children's library

I've been working at the Children's Desk for many, many days (and nights) since the department is short.  Here's what the afternoons are like:

Do you have Rip Tide by Kat Falls?
Excuse me I don't know how to turn on the light in the bathroom.
I'm looking for the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.  The eleventh one.
Can I please have a ticket for the computer.
Can you put me on PBS Kids.
Computer ticket?
Computer ticket?
Computer ticket?
[Ed. note: I just emailed my mom about 3 very important things (no Pulitzer for fiction WTF!) and she is not responding.  MOM!]
Computer ticket?
Computer ticket?
Computer ticket?
[Ed. note: they come in threes]
Cutest girl ever simply whispers "Bad Kitty."
I look up books using the computer on the end right?
Can you put me on Cool Math? [Ed. note: I mistook this first for Encore Math.  It's Cool Math, duh.]
Computer ticket?
Computer ticket?

Annnnnd, that's all.  I'm heading back to my adults.

Did you sneak in a Christopher Moore reference or did that actually happen?

I haven't read any Christopher Moore, so...whatever it is, it actually happened (what? I'm curious).

In his book "A Dirty Job" a little girl is a grim reaper type character and she kills people when she says "bad kitty". It is really good. Funny. Funny. Funny. A little sad. It's a quick read. You'll laugh.
