last post of 2007 (duh)

  • Hey rocket scientists, I changed my template. Completely ditched the sidebar. Archives are way down at the bottom of the page. I guess this will be a trial. Can I live without a sidebar? The writers for Ally McBeal were unable to do so.
  • It's New Year's Eve and I am obviously not going out formally. Not sure if Trump is having a party at Mar-a-Lago, but we'll definitely be able to see his fireworks from our front porch at midnight. So close to Palm Beach. Yet so far away. I do have some sparkling wine chilling in the fridge. Nothing fancy!
  • In the reading mood for Louise Erdrich.
  • Still have my Christmas trees up -- I bought two tiny, live trees on Christmas eve. I'll plant them in a couple of weeks. I have a soft spot for strands of lights. White. Colors. You name it, I love them all.
  • No more House & Garden! Shock, shock, shock. Apparently this is old news. But sad news for me.
  • I plan to share my resolutions tomorrow, or even later tonight. 2007 was heaven. Lots of good things happened - new job, new home, new puppy, new car! My happiness comes from many other sources, but it was a big year. A new slogan for 2008 is underway (there are options, of course: 2008 is great; don't be late to 2008; celebrate 2008; I like the first one).
  • Happy New Year & be safe.
  • OH MY GOD, HOW COULD I FORGET?! Undergrad beats Grad! (No secret here; this is what I wanted.)

Yay live trees! We have a cute little mini live tree, too. I don't know how often/much to water it, though. Not including pot, soil, & roots, ours is about 4 feet tall. Do you have watering suggestions? We can't plant it.

Hope last night was fun and the fireworks were lovely! I miss Clematis fireworks.

I envy your ability to blog near-daily. I shall try to be better, but it's been hard; Jamwall and I have been doing some lovin'.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
