we got them low whips

  • I am approaching my 500th post. I say that now, four posts away, because chances are I will forget to say anything when I actually post my 500th post. All I can say about my 500th post is I never imagined I would post 500 times. I thought my blog would be a fart in the wind. Sometimes I still think it is a fart in the wind, just lingering a bit long, or it's a fart that actually smells in the wind. Those are rare. They happen.
  • Remember those fancy red slippers I bought when I was feeling lazy? I took Cole out last night for his bedtime duty in those fancy red slippers and came back into the house, all the way to the kitchen (which is about as far as it gets in this house from the back door), and realized I stepped in his shit. So not only did I ruin my slippers, I tracked globs of wet stinky dog poop all through the longest route of the house. I hit a few rugs, too. That I still haven't washed.
  • When I first started my blog, I downloaded Google's photo sharing software, Picasa, so that I could post pictures. Figuring out Picasa was a pain in the ass for me. So I gave up on it and never looked back. Until today, when I downloaded Picasa again. The editing functions are fabulous! Easy! User-friendly! Now that I am a slave to both Adobe Elements and Flickr, the tables could be turning. We'll see. But if you find digital photo editing rough, I would encourage you to discover Picasa (again). It's really terrific.
  • Today I bought a tiny copy of Martha Stewart's Good Things in the Kitchen. It's adorable.
  • My serious older sister, who is so serious she is actually fluent in German and has been known to date German males, is completely smitten for someone who is completely smitten right back. He is not German, by the way. When she first met him months ago, she told herself he was the man she was going to marry. Isn't that cute? My mom said the same thing about my dad. Christ, how 1956 is my family? Not really. I just love gushers, and my sister is being a total gusher.
  • Have you seen that program on A&E called King of Cars? Best. Theme. Song. Ever. It's ridiculous. I totally boogie to it when it the program starts...

Happy 500th-when it happens! This place isn't a fart-it's a really expensive yet, unpretentious parfum:o)
As for your sister, I bet she's right-I said the same thing about my husband right after our first date-we eloped 4 months later and our 10th anniversary is just a few weeks away. And I love-love-love Picassa!

I just recently became aware of Picasa, though haven't tried it. Weird that you bring it up cause today I looked it up to see if I was interested.

Smelly farts in the wind aren't so rare here either. Once, somebody (I won't name any names) farted in the car with the windows down. It was still really bad.

My farts always smell in the wind.

Maybe I should re-think my diet, hmm?

farting's awesome. try body-bombing the boyfriend sometime. Hold him down, hug him, countdown from 10 (5 when he starts catching on), and then scream "body-bomb!!!" while farting. that used to be one of my favorite past-times. my sign of affection...

your sister and her non-german german-loving counterpart have become the "eew" couple! yay! i love it! but that's the way it should be, no?

as for stinky wet dog poop. eew!!! even if it did belong to a pup as adorable as cole. i'll say it again. EEEEEEW!

going to go eat nutella now. BYE!
