happy-warm

Ewwww, sucky Thanksgivings SUCK.

I wore such a cute top tonight for Thanksgiving dinner.
I painted my fingernails (I never do this).
I put on some mascara (I never do this).
It started out so damn nice.

And then I became chopped liver!
It happened so fast; it was the worst.

My older sister consoled me for an hour via phone and then said something like, "I checked out your blog the other day. It has a bunch of animal pictures going on right now." Hint. Hint. Stop with the animal pictures!

Backstory: She calls our house the Animal Kingdom - in addition to one cat, one kitten, and a dog, we also have a tortoise named Bella who gets very little attention (it's so sad). We used to have seven thousand saltwater aquariums bubbling with corals and shrimps and fish, but we temporarily do not have them. We're dogsitting a Weimaraner for the holiday weekend (her proud parents are off in Paris, getting engaged!), so we're extra full. (If you count the wild iguanas out by the lake and all of the herons and swamp turkeys and alligators we are more exciting than the zoo.)

Back to my sister, who rules the kingdom of older sisters: I can't resist posting another picture of Jane. This time, however, I thought I would include me...as well as a gratuitous smattering of pink custom hearts symbolizing my love for but who else: Jane. Pardon my graduate school wardrobe/pajamas, but it has been ridiculously (in a good way) chilly in the Sunshine State lately...in addition to the hoodie, Jane is keeping me happy-warm.

I am now so in love with both of you that I need to put myself in the hospital.

So sad to hear it was not a happy lovely day :(

I grew up with everyone calling my house The Zoo. At one point we had 1 dog, 4 cats, 11 hamsters, 3 birds (finches), and who knows how many fish. At various other points we had a rat, hermit crabs, and an iguana (who is still around, gigantic, and we want to give him to the zoo. The real zoo.)

I hope to see photos of animals continue. Perhaps I will post a photo of Bob, the evil iguana.

How big is Bella? Don't they live for like forever?

Ohmygod.

I want to hurl myself into that picture and roll around on the floor with you and Jane for hours.

It hurts, Madge. It hurts.

Also, I will gladly beat up anyone raining on your parade, sweetie. You deserve sunshine and flowers 24-7.

She's right on the animal pics though. There's a lot.

Which in itself isn't maybe a bad thing.

As for Dakota Fanning's feet... I don't know why that disturbs me, it just does.
