jane followed by really good news

perching.jane
Oh dear! I accidentally skipped Jane's Thursday portrait! There you go. In this picture she looks like someone from my past: Sister Jane Frances.

I have some big news to share.

Last month, being the first week in February, I applied for a job. I had a late-night inkling that I was destined for this librarian job. So I went ahead and applied.

During the first week in March, I interviewed.

Today...I was hired! So it's official: I, Madge, am a (public library) librarian!

WOOT SCOOT BOOGIE!

Yay! Yippy! I Love love love the library! That's great news!

I saw a show on Animal Planet and one of the cat behavior experts said that when kitties squint their eyes like that, it's kitty language for,"I like you." Which is why people who don't like cats get all the attention from kitties because they subconciously narrow their eyes when they encounter a kitty. So the kitty misinterprets this and immediately makes friends. Just thought I should put that out there :o)

I don't know why anyone wouldn't like kitties anyway, though.

Great news!

My grandmother was the first female librarian at the New York Public Library.

They used hire men only for the longest time.
